Watch Out for Kitties!

One of the COVID pandemic's silver linings was that it created an explosion in on-line ballet lesson content, posted by dancers and teachers all over the world.  One of my favorite is Franziska, at Holistic Ballet in London, who posts really nice how-to videos focused on individual ballet steps and movements.  Check out her YouTube channel for her free content.

Franziska, like many other dancers, is "Mom" to a curious kitty, named Herbert, who appears frequently in her videos.  I love that in this video, you can hear Herbert purring into her microphone. Alas, at one point poor Herbert accidentally gets kicked.  Poor Herbert!  (He doesn't seem too bothered, though.)

I guess the lesson we can take from this is, when doing ballet at home, check to make sure there's nothing around you that might get kicked -- be it a cat, or a dog, or a houseplant, or furniture.  (I find that chair legs can be particularly vicious and frequently kick back.  đŸ˜‰)
