Intermediate Barre

Up for a little challenge?   The National Ballet of Canada’s adult dance and fitness program Studio Director, Kate Kernaghan, leads a fun intermediate ballet class that is do-able for advanced beginners.  I would encourage beginners to give it a try to, since you can always pause and/or re-wind the video to really nail down the more challenging sequences.

KEEP IT SAFE:  As always, skip or modify anything that doesn't feel right for your body.  In particular, if you have knee or hip issues or weaknesses, substitute demi-plies for the grand plies.  If fourth position bothers your hips, skip it and go back to first position.
