Strong, Flexible Feet

Strengthening your feet not only helps you in ballet class, it helps you in every day life.  Our feet move us through the world, starting at about age 2 and continuing for the rest of our lives!  So taking care of them is never a bad investment of time.

If you're wanting to strengthen your feet, and gain a little extra flexibility, this video shows some nice foot exercises for dancers.  Note that the video is silent, so just follow along as she demonstrates each exercise.

KEEP IT SAFE:  This dancer has SUPER flexible, SUPER strong feet.  Yours may not be as flexible and strong, and that's perfectly OK.  Just do what is comfortable for your body.  Be gentle with any of the stretches she demonstrates and don't over stretch or force any of the movements beyond what your feet can naturally handle.
