Lovely Student Waltz of the Flowers

Tchaikovsky's Waltz of the Flowers is one of my favorite ballet pieces.  I always enjoy seeing different companies' choreographic variations of the dance.

I recently ran across this one -- which I found particularly lovely -- performed by students from the Institute for American Musical Theatre.  The choreography is simple, but elegant; and the dancers are exquisite.  I especially appreciate that the corps dancers look like "real" people, with beautiful womanly bodies.  It just goes to show, you don't have to be a stick-thin waif to dance beautifully.  And you don't need to dance en pointe, to do lovely ballet!
