Ballet Barre Fan

What a game changer!  Here's a little ballet-gear tip for anyone who struggles with overheating in ballet class.  (If you're peri- or post-menopausal, you know what I'm talking about.)

I got this portable stroller fan (Sweetful Portable Stroller Fan, available on Amazon and Walmart for under $20) to attach to my ballet barre during class.  It's cordless (USB rechargeable), quiet, with 5 speeds of air flow, and has bendable silicone covered arms that grip the barre really well.  (There are other models out there too.)

I can aim it at my face for a wonderful cooling breeze as I do my combos, and it really helps keep me from "melting" during class.

As a teacher of older dancers, I'm always on the lookout for ways to keep my dancers comfortable, especially on hot days.  (Why suffer!  Give yourself a break!)  I encourage anyone to try this gear hack if you find yourself overheating during class.  I'm loving it!
